“If ease of use was the only valid criterion, people would stick to tricycles and never try bicycles.”

I'm a recent graduate from the Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute at UC San Diego, where I obtained my Master's degree in Data Science and was honored as the Distinguished Mentee & Student. Since my time at UCSD, I have been fortunate to work in the Data Smith Lab under the guidance of Prof. Haojian Jin. I am also grateful to have worked alongside Prof. Yaxing Yao and Prof. Tauhidur Rahman.

My research interests lie in Human-Computer Interaction, with a particular focus on Social Computing, Security & Privacy, Video Games, and Education. Specifically, I am passionate about (1) using mixed methods to understand sociotechnical challenges from a multi-stakeholder perspective and (2) developing practical, user-centered solutions.

Before UCSD, I also spent beautiful years at Nanjing University, where I earned a Bachelor's degree from the School of Physics. In my freshman year, I spent an unforgettable summer volunteering at a rural primary school, taught art & science classes, and conducted fieldwork on children’s mental health. I was also thrilled to lead a publicity team and design a commemorative magazine for the university's crosstalk club.
